The Lakeland Emergency Squad proudly serves Andover Borough, Andover Township, and Byram Township. The Emergency Squad currently operates 4 Ambulances, 1 First Response Unit, and 1 Rescue Truck out of 3 buildings. The Andover Building is located at the intersection of Goodale Road and Route 206. The Byram Building is located on Route 206 just South of Cranberry Lake. The Lee Hill Sub-Station is located on Lee Hill Road in Byram Township.
Our first due coverage area is approximately 50 square miles of southern Sussex County, where over 15,000 people reside, about 10% of the County’s population. We provide mutual aid to the surrounding towns including Newton, Stanhope, Netcong, Hopatcong, Budd Lake, Green, Franklin, Roxbury, and Sparta.
The Squad responds to a wide range of incidents including medical emergencies, fire calls, and motor vehicle accidents and also provides standby support to local youth sporting events, mountain biking competitions, and events at Waterloo Village. Residents of Andover Boro, Andover Township, and Byram Township are always invited to volunteer with the Squad, and we have several membership options to choose from. Please visit the EMS or Rescue pages to find out more information about each type of membership. Applications can be found on the Membership Application page.
